An island getaway is the perfect way to celebrate a ten year anniversary – wouldn’t you agree? That’s exactly what hundreds of AMEN members and friends did the last weekend of October for AMEN’s tenth . . . annual conference. The event was hosted on the beautiful island of Coronado, right across the bay from San Diego.
This island getaway however, was far from a leisurely vacation. It was an action-packed event filled with presentations, workshops, worship, networking, and contagious enthusiasm for health evangelism. With a conference theme of Joined Together, attendees set out to gain a better understanding of the divine blueprint to combine medical work with gospel ministry.

2013—Following the Leader

What would Jesus’ office be like today if He were a healthcare professional? This was the central question raised at Following the Leader, AMEN’s 9th annual conference held October 31-November 3 in . . . Orlando.
For three, power-packed days, nearly 300 AMEN members and enthusiasts joined together for inspirational and informative messages, networking opportunities, and continuing education.
Attendants were blessed with keynote messages from Mark Finley, Des Cummings, James Rafferty, Jerry Page, and others. The breakout sessions provided valuable information on a variety of topics, including plant-based nutrition, women’s health, periodontal treatment, spiritual care in emergency settings, integrating prayer into practice, etc. Continuing education was available.

2012—Testimony

There are few places in America better than San Diego, CA to hold a conference. But it wasn’t for the warm fall weather, surf or sand that attendees came to the 2012 AMEN conference at Paradise Point, . . . San Diego. Physicians, dentists, medical/dental students, pastors, and medical professionals came to the conference to learn more about health evangelism, to network with other medical professionals and to hear how their peers have made medical evangelism a vital part of their daily practice.
The theme of the 2012 AMEN Conference was “Testimony”. From October 25-28, 2012, attendees were enriched by the testimony of speakers and compelling ministry reports.
On Thursday night as the conference opened, we were blessed to have Elder Ted Wilson, Seventh-day Adventist world church president, who inspired members to understand the unique role of the medical professional in relation to the work of the church in these last days.
