STATEMENT of PURPOSE
The goal of this conference is to: Effectively inspire healthcare providers to live ‘In His Presence’ and inspire their patients to experience the life-changing transformation that comes from a relationship with Christ. This conference will focus on practical ways to live ‘In His Presence’ through focusing on building a strong personal relationship with God and caring enough about our patients to provide them with whole person care. As providers are filled with the love of Christ it will spill over to how they treat their patients and improve quality of life in both the patient and provider. Physicians will be motivated because of their personal walk with Christ to provide more than ordinary medical care. They will aspire to treat the whole body: physically, emotionally, and spiritually and introduce patients to Christ, the true source of power and healing. This course will also discuss the importance of lifestyle changes and ways to build a strong immune system. As a result, patients will become more engaged in their wellbeing leading to better outcomes.
Overall Course Objectives:
At the end of the conference, the learner will be able to:
-
- Identify the need for spending personal time with the Creator to allow for greater ability to surrender to His healing power in treating patients.
- Discuss the need for Spiritual Care (SC) in the clinical setting and develop practical and effective ways to implement SC on a daily basis.
- Discuss how being involved in ministry improves job satisfaction, increases resiliency, and reduces burnout in physicians leading to a better quality of life for both the provider and their patients.
- Implement whole person care by sharing principles of living “In His Presence” including the Adventist health message and most importantly, introducing patients to Jesus Christ as the source of true healing and inner peace.
