AMEN’s mission is to motivate, train, and equip Seventh-day Adventist physicians, dentists, and other healthcare professionals to team with pastors and members, uniting the church to restore Christ’s ministry of healing to the world, hastening His return.
You’ll notice the mission statement says ‘to the world’, AMEN is committed to spreading the gospel through medical evangelism globally. One of the ways we do that by is by exposing physicians and dentists serving as missionaries and/or international physicians and dentists to our organization and encouraging them to attend our annual conference. Often this leads them to return home inspired to further medical evangelism in their country by starting an international chapter of AMEN. We are so thrilled to be a small part of a global community of physicians and dentists who want to spread the gospel!
We understand that financial constraints may inhibit missionaries and international physicians and dentists from attending the conference so AMEN is committed to helping defray some of those costs.
If the cost of registration and/or hotel accommodations puts a financial strain on you, we want to help. AMEN has limited funds for missionary subsidies but we will do our best to accommodate as many as we can (limitations on how many can apply from the same country exist). Missionary subsidies should be submitted by October 1. Subsidies are approved by AMEN’s executive committee on a case by case basis and may include just the registration fee, or both the registration fee and lodging. The applicant is always responsible for their own transportation (flights, car, etc.) expenses. Once the application is received, we will review it and be in touch to let you know if/when it is approved.
