Medical: (CME – up to 6 credits)

AMEN (in conjunction with Loma Linda University) is pleased to offer up to 6 continuing medical education credits at the 2022 conference.

This conference will focus on practical ways to live life more abundantly through focusing on building a strong personal relationship with God and caring enough about our patients to provide them with whole person care. As providers are filled with the love of Christ it will spill over to how they treat their patients and improve quality of life in both the patient and provider. Physicians will be motivated because of their personal walk with Christ to provide more than ordinary medical care. They will aspire to treat the whole body: physically, emotionally, and spiritually and introduce patients to Christ, the true source of power and healing. This course will also discuss the importance of lifestyle changes and ways to build a strong immune system. As a result, patients will become more engaged in their wellbeing leading to better outcomes.

Overall Course Objectives:

  1. Identify the need for Spiritual Care (SC) in the clinical setting and develop practical and effective ways to implement SC on a daily basis.
  2. Discuss how being involved in ministry improves job satisfaction, increases resiliency, and reduces burnout in healthcare practitioners leading to ‘life more abundant’.
  3. Implement whole person care by sharing principles of living ‘life more abundant’ including the Adventist health message and most importantly, introducing patients to Jesus Christ as the source of true healing and inner peace.
