Ophthalmology is a great platform for me to witness to my patients. I am fortunate to work at a Christian eye surgery practice (www.pcli.com) where we routinely pray with our patients prior to their surgeries. I’m always looking for opportunities to witness to patients and co-workers and I would love to discuss with medical students how they could be a positive influence to their classmates and surrounding community. I am also happy to discuss my own struggles during medical school to encourage those who may be struggling. If anyone is interested in ophthalmology, I’m happy to talk with him/her. It’s a great specialty – especially for mission work all around the world. It’s nice to provide sight to those who can’t see but an even greater joy to provide spiritual insight to help them come closer to their Creator.
