Medical Ministry Bio
My passion for medical ministry comes from my belief that healing is not only physical but also spiritual. As a student missionary in Peru, I experienced the impact that medical care combined with spiritual care can have in blessing both the patient and clinician and building community. Beginning in my clinical rotations as a medical student, I made a commitment to offer prayer to as many patients as possible, and was surprised at the number of patients who appreciated and invited prayer. Prayer broke down barriers, softened hearts, and dispelled fears. I hope to continue to grow in learning to bring whole person and spiritual care to my patients in residency and during my future career.
