My contribution: We shared tough times in our lives when it was difficult to see God working and looked at scriptures for what God may have been up to in our life and the lives of others at that time. I was blessed by my sisters’ faith. We would like the networking groups to happen every AMEN!
Additional thoughts: God’s thoughts and ways are higher than ours. We want to trust Him ALL the days of our lives.

Romans 8:15-18 encourages us that we are adopted as God’s children, heirs of God and fellow heirs with our brother Jesus Christ, IF indeed we suffer with Him as He suffered. The sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared to the joy that is before us. God uses our suffering to draw us into His very heart and transform us into His likeness.

A lump of coal that does well under pressure becomes a diamond.

My contribution: Active listening
Additional thoughts: I liked the 10 – 15 prewalk talk that focused on Bible verses of how God uses stress and trauma to draw us closer to Him. During the walk we had the opportunity to listen to a testimony of one of the participants.

I think that although the testimony was interesting it wasn’t necessarily on topic. Maybe introducing a question for discussion at the start of the walk to direct the topic would be beneficial.
