Medical: (CME – 5.5 credits)
AMEN (in conjunction with Loma Linda University) is pleased to offer up to 5 continuing medical education credits at the 2024 conference.

STATEMENT of PURPOSE

This conference will focus on practical ways to live ‘By His Spirit’ through focusing on building a strong personal relationship with God and caring enough about our patients to provide them with whole person care. As providers are filled with the love of Christ it will spill over to how they treat their patients and improve quality of life in both the patient and provider. Physicians will be motivated because of their personal walk with Christ to provide more than ordinary medical care. They will aspire to treat the whole body: physically, emotionally, and spiritually and introduce patients to Christ, the true source of power and healing. This course will also discuss the importance of lifestyle changes and ways to build a strong immune system. As a result, patients will become more engaged in their wellbeing leading to better outcomes.

Overall Course Objectives:
At the end of the conference, the learner will be able to:

  1. Identify the importance of maintaining a continuous connection with the Holy Spirit and how that connection positively impacts professional interactions with colleagues, employees, patients, and patients’ families.
  2. Discuss the need for the Holy Spirit to guide Spiritual Care (SC) in the clinical setting and develop practical and effective ways to implement SC on a daily basis.
  3. Discuss how being connected to the Holy Spirit daily improves job satisfaction, increases resiliency, and reduces burnout in physicians leading to a better quality of life for both the provider and their patients.
  4. Implement whole person care by sharing principles of living “By His Spirit” including the Adventist health message and most importantly, introducing patients to Jesus Christ as the source of true healing and inner peace.
